1. Using the current website
These terms explain how to use the Lab & Craft website and what to check before attending a program. The current website provides information and receives provider enquiries. It does not accept participant bookings or payments.
Browsing, sending a message or expressing interest does not reserve a place or create a booking. A waitlist entry, discussion or unconfirmed request is not a confirmed place. Do not rely on a program or date until it has been confirmed through the process disclosed for that program.
2. Before joining a program
Review the activity, teacher, venue, dates and time zone, duration, prerequisites, age requirements, supervision, independent work, accessibility arrangements, equipment, materials and any accommodation before committing. Ask about anything unclear, including what is included and what you need to bring.
Provide accurate information relevant to the booking and meet the stated participation requirements. If you arrange participation for someone else, have the authority and any permissions required for that booking. Follow the program’s stated requirements for minors and supervision; do not assume every activity accepts every age.
Keep the program description and confirmation so you can refer to the arrangements you agreed. Do not send unnecessary health or other sensitive information through a general enquiry.
3. Safety and participation
Hands-on activities may involve tools, heat, machinery, food, allergens, outdoor conditions or other activity-specific risks. Review the risks, safeguards and supervision described for the particular program. A general website notice does not replace those details.
Follow reasonable safety instructions, use required protective equipment, and use tools or equipment only with permission and the required supervision. Avoid impaired or unsafe equipment use. Stop and tell the instructor if something appears unsafe or you cannot follow the instructions.
Respect other participants, staff, the venue and their property. Report hazards or incidents promptly through the program contact, and obtain local emergency help when needed. A website enquiry is not an emergency service.
4. Prices, confirmations and changes
The total price, currency, mandatory charges, payment process, inclusions and cancellation and refund arrangements must be clear before you commit to a program. An enquiry does not authorize a charge. The current public site takes no participant payments.
Use the confirmation and cancellation process disclosed for the particular program. Cancellation, rescheduling, no-shows and refunds follow the policy given before booking, subject to applicable law.
Material changes to a teacher, date, venue or activity must be communicated through the program’s disclosed process, with agreement where required. A change does not silently replace the terms of a confirmed booking or remove mandatory remedies. Do not assume travel, accommodation or related costs are included unless expressly stated.
5. Materials and personal information
Respect rights in teaching materials and participant work. Booking or making an enquiry does not silently transfer ownership of your work or grant blanket permission to record you or use your image in promotion. Obtain the appropriate permission before recording others or using their work or images.
Use information about other people only for the agreed activity and lawful related communications. Participation does not automatically subscribe anyone to unrelated marketing. Share only information needed for the enquiry or program, and use the program’s agreed contact route for private access or practical questions.
6. Responsibilities and limits
Lab & Craft is responsible for the services it expressly undertakes. Teaching, venue and other delivery responsibilities follow the arrangements for the particular program and the services actually provided.
Learning outcomes vary with preparation, practice and the activity. No particular qualification, employment, income or result is guaranteed unless expressly promised in the agreed program description. This does not excuse failure to provide the instruction or services actually agreed.
Nothing in these terms limits liability, rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be limited. This includes any protection applicable to fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury, minors or mandatory consumer rights.
7. Updates to these terms
Lab & Craft may publish proposed updates to these Terms at any time. We will communicate material changes before they take effect and obtain consent where required by applicable law. The terms accepted for confirmed bookings will continue to apply unless the parties agree otherwise or applicable law requires a change. Updates do not limit mandatory consumer rights.
Keep the program confirmation and the terms provided for it. Raise questions or concerns with Lab & Craft and the provider through the agreed program contact before relying on a change. Nothing here requires giving up a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be waived.
