1. Enquiries and participation
These terms explain how to use the Lab & Craft website and what to agree before teaching or organizing a program. The current website provides information and receives provider enquiries. It does not accept participant bookings or payments.
Provide accurate, current information about your experience, teaching role, proposed activity and availability. Only claim qualifications, affiliations or permissions you actually have. You must have permission to act for a business or organization you represent.
An enquiry starts a conversation. It does not create a public listing, reserve dates, authorize a charge or commit either side to a program. Approval, bookings, earnings and participant numbers are not guaranteed.
2. Preparing and delivering a program
Confirm the teaching, venue, dates and time zone, group size, prerequisites, supervision, independent work, equipment, materials and any accommodation in the written arrangements for the particular program. Describe what learners will practise and what support they will receive.
You are responsible for the teaching and delivery services you agree to provide, including your staff and venue arrangements. Lab & Craft is responsible for the services it expressly undertakes. Keep descriptions and availability accurate, and report changes before participants rely on them.
3. Safety and practical arrangements
Identify relevant activity and venue risks, safety instructions, protective equipment, access requirements and food or allergen information before participation. Confirm the responsible on-site instructor, equipment checks, emergency arrangements and which activities require supervision. Obtain applicable permissions and stop work that cannot be delivered safely.
Confirm any insurance arrangements required by law or agreed for the program. Do not represent that coverage exists, that an activity is risk-free or that a provider policy protects Lab & Craft without checking it.
The on-site provider leads the immediate safety response and obtains local emergency help when needed. Report material incidents and changes affecting safe delivery to Lab & Craft promptly through the agreed program contact. A website enquiry is not an emergency service.
4. Prices, payments and cancellations
Agree the program’s price, currency, mandatory charges, included costs, payment responsibilities, payout arrangements and cancellation and refund rules before anyone commits. Disclose any processing, materials, venue or accommodation costs that are additional. An enquiry does not authorize payment or a deduction.
Any founding pilot offer applies only within the scope and duration agreed for that pilot. It does not promise permanently free participation or that Lab & Craft pays third-party costs.
Notify Lab & Craft promptly of a proposed change to a teacher, venue, date, activity or other material detail. Communicate changes to affected participants through the agreed process and obtain agreement where required. Do not treat silence as acceptance of a different program or silently replace the terms of a confirmed booking.
Handle cancellations, no-shows, rescheduling and refunds under the policy disclosed for that program and applicable law. Agree who communicates with participants and processes any refund.
5. Materials, personal information and conduct
Share only material you are entitled to provide. An enquiry does not transfer ownership of your curriculum, photographs or other work. Get appropriate permission before using another person’s work, recording a session or using someone’s image for promotion.
Use participant information only for the agreed program and lawful related communications. Do not add people to unrelated marketing lists or share their information across brands merely because they enquired or booked. Do not include unnecessary sensitive or proprietary details in an enquiry. The enquiry’s data-sharing permission is separate from program participation.
Act respectfully, follow applicable law and reasonable venue rules, and raise misleading information, unsafe conduct or other concerns promptly. Any restriction on future participation must respect existing booking obligations and applicable refund and consumer rights.
6. Responsibilities and limits
Learning outcomes depend on preparation, practice and the nature of the work. No particular qualification, employment, income or result is guaranteed unless a specific, accurate promise has been expressly agreed. A program description must still accurately explain the instruction and services offered.
Each party remains responsible for its own conduct and the services it actually undertakes. Lab & Craft does not guarantee uninterrupted website availability or third-party performance merely by providing information or coordination. Calling a program a marketplace service does not remove responsibilities arising from what is actually provided.
Nothing in these terms limits liability, rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be limited. This includes any protection applicable to fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury or mandatory consumer rights.
7. Updates to these terms
Lab & Craft may publish proposed updates to these Terms at any time. We will communicate material changes before they take effect and obtain consent where required by applicable law. The terms accepted for confirmed bookings will continue to apply unless the parties agree otherwise or applicable law requires a change. Updates do not limit mandatory consumer rights.
Keep the program confirmation and the terms provided for it. Raise questions or concerns with Lab & Craft and the provider through the agreed program contact before relying on a change. Nothing here requires giving up a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be waived.
